The Medina County Arts Council announced that its second-annual Chocolate Walk will take place on Sweetest Day, Saturday, Oct. 21.

As part of the event, participants will visit businesses, also known as “chocolatiers” on and around Medina’s Public Square to collect at least 20 samples of decadent chocolates while supporting the projects of Medina County Arts Council.

Tickets are available at medinacountyartscouncil.org.

“This is a great opportunity for businesses and organizations to get exposure to the 300 people finding them during this event,” said Kelly Parks, MCAC board president. “People love their chocolate and we expect the attendees to stop at all locations, where businesses and organizations have an opportunity to market themselves to our chocolate walkers.”

In addition to participating as a walker or a chocolatier, MCAC is looking for event sponsors. Proceeds from the Chocolate Walk will help to continue funding grants to Medina County teachers and organizations for arts education and programs, scholarships to graduating seniors and for free arts performances and experiences through various events.

By becoming a Chocolate Walk sponsor, businesses are not only allowing MCAC to grow programs, opportunities, and connections for the community through arts, but they can receive incredible opportunities to market their brand, reach new customers, improve their public perception and increase their sales, Parks said. ∞
